Privacy Policy

Scrolling Bible ("the app") is provided by Divya Khandelwal, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Device identifier. The app creates a random identifier for your device so it can keep your progress without an account.
- Your reading activity. Verses you like, bookmark or note, studies you open, reading plans and streaks, and your settings. These are stored on our servers so they are kept across reinstalls and, if you sign in, across your devices.
- Account details (optional). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and a provider account ID. Signing in is optional.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We receive the purchase status and product, never your card details.
- Usage and diagnostics. Events about how the app is used (for example screens viewed and buttons tapped), app version, device model, operating system and approximate country. We work out the country from your IP address, first with a database on our own servers and, when that has no answer, by sending the IP address to ip-api.com.
- Advertising measurement. We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK in the app and Meta's Conversions API from our servers to measure installs, trials and purchases that come from our ads. Purchase events include the product, price and currency.
- Android: the Facebook SDK logs app events (such as installs, app opens, viewing a study or the subscription screen, and signing in) together with your device's advertising ID. Events our server sends through the Conversions API (trials, purchases and renewals) can include your email address in hashed form if you are signed in, hashed device and account IDs, your advertising ID, IP address, user agent, hashed country and basic device information. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
- iOS: the Facebook SDK logs app installs and app opens, along with the attribution data Apple provides through SKAdNetwork and Meta's Aggregated Event Measurement. Other events (viewing a study or the subscription screen, signing in, trials, purchases and renewals) are sent by our server through the Conversions API. They include identifiers (your email address in hashed form if you are signed in, hashed device and account IDs, your advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, user agent and hashed country) only if you allow tracking when the app asks. If you don't, these events carry no identifiers, only the event itself and basic device information such as model, operating-system version and language. You can change this choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
How we use it
To run the app and keep your progress; to provide and restore your subscription; to understand and improve the app; to find and fix problems; and to measure our advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
Who processes it
Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Google Cloud (analytics storage), Google and Apple (sign-in and payments), Meta (advertising measurement on Android and iOS) and ip-api.com (looking up the approximate country of an IP address). They process data on our behalf under their own terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you use the app. If you delete your account, we delete your account details and the reading activity saved to it straight away. Purchase records are kept, no longer linked to your account, for as long as we need them for billing, refunds and our tax and accounting obligations. Pseudonymous usage events (tied to a random device ID, not your name or email) may be kept for analysis for up to 24 months. See Deleting your account for the details.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Home › Settings › Account › Delete account. You can also email support@myheartcraft.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
Deleted straight away. Your likes, notes, bookmarks and reading position, chapter progress, reading plans, streak, saved studies and studied cards, your votes, your Google or Apple sign-in, and your name and email address. All your devices are signed out and no longer linked to an account. This cannot be undone.
Kept, and why.
- Purchase records (the store, product, subscription status, dates and the store's transaction IDs). We need these to handle the store's renewal, refund and cancellation notices, and for our billing, tax and accounting records. They are no longer linked to your account.
- Usage and diagnostics events already recorded for analytics. They are pseudonymous: they carry a random device ID and the former account ID, not your name or email address. We keep them for up to 24 months.
- Your device record (its random device ID, platform, app and operating-system version, language, country and how the app was installed). The device carries on in the app as a guest.
- Advertising measurement. Events already sent to Meta to measure our ads cannot be recalled by us; Meta keeps them under its own data policy. Our record of which purchase came from an ad is kept with the purchase records, no longer linked to your account.
Saves made without signing in. Without an account, what you save is stored against your device's random ID. When you sign in, those saves move into your account, so they are deleted with it. Saves made on a device that has never signed in, or after you signed out, are not part of any account and are not removed when an account is deleted; you can remove them in the app, or email us and we will delete them.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and its data at any time in the app: Home › Settings › Account › Delete account (see Deleting your account).
- Turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by writing to support@myheartcraft.com.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
